Styl. Creating stylized characters
Before studying at GMK, I was designing websites and interfaces - it was very boring and not at all interesting. And then I came across the announcement of the course "3D Modeling of Stylized Characters" from GMK and realized that I needed to leave that studio and finish studying to become a character designer.
During the course I spent all my time studying, sculpting 8+ hours a day. Now I do AAA-quality work for my portfolio in the evenings, plus my colleague and I do a joint project on my cell phone. Next I plan to fully establish the process and make tutorials, as well as sell timelapses with sources to stockists with finished animations.

Hard Surface and Procedural Trip
I chose gamedev because I am an avid gamer myself. I went into 3D because I was good at drawing in my time, plus I have a few acquaintances who work in 3D.
I chose these courses, because at that time I could not get to "3D modeling of objects" - then the courses were launched rarely, not every month. I have not regretted it once. The mentors put their hearts into me, I told them about my situation, that I literally had a matter of life and death. I liked everything, no complaints. Without the mentors, I would not have been able to get into the industry so quickly.

It was somewhere around June-July, the end of the first wave of the pandemic. At some point I came across an open stream on the health system in UE4.. I googled it, found out where they tell such a cool story. And decided that it's worth a try, in case it works.
The most memorable task was Give me the gun, where you had to make a working weapon. The course is good, but a lot depends on the students - on their activity and search for information outside the course.

The learning process itself was quite interesting. The teacher perfectly explains the material of lectures and always answers the questions of all students and for this he has a great respect. It is noteworthy that there is also a lot of mutual assistance between students.
I especially remember the inverse kinematics, as well as working with animations in general. And also the creation of my own movement component.
